Get Involved
Tri-Cities Female Ice Hockey thrives because of the incredible support from our community of volunteers, parents, and partners. Whether you’re interested in coaching, becoming a team manager, helping at events, or joining the Board, there’s a place for everyone to contribute. No hockey experience is needed—just a willingness to support and make a difference! Your time and energy help create a positive, empowering environment for our players both on and off the ice.
Ready to get involved? Join us and be part of a growing community that's passionate about developing players, leaders, and lifelong memories.
Get Involved with a Team
Each team is supported by a group of dedicated volunteers who help ensure the season runs smoothly, safely, and successfully.
Team staff roles may vary slightly by division, but generally include the following:
- Head Coach – Leads practices and games, responsible for player development and team leadership
- Assistant Coaches – Support the head coach and assist with practices and bench management
- Team Manager – Handles team communication, scheduling, logistics, and administrative tasks
- Hockey Canada Safety Person (HCSP) – Oversees player safety, injury protocols, and medical documentation
- Team Treasurer – Manages team finances, including team fee collection and budgeting
Additional volunteer roles within a team are Team Moms, scorekeeping & timekeeping at the team's home games.
Each role contributes to creating a positive, organized, and development-focused environment for players and families. All staff must meet applicable requirements as outlined by Hockey Canada, BC Hockey, and the PCAHA.
