The TriCities Female Ice Hockey Association is located on the ancestral, unceded territories of the kʷikʷəƛ̓əm (Kwikwetlem); səl̓ilwətaɁɬ təməxʷ (Tsleil-Waututh); S’ólh Téméxw (Stó:lō); qiqéyt (Qayqayt); sq̓əc̓iy̓aɁɬ təməxʷ (Katzie); xʷməθkwəy̓əm (Musqueam); and Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Úxwumixw (Squamish) nations, in what is known today as the Tri-Cities.

ABOUT US

The Tri-Cities Female Ice Hockey Association was formed in 1997. We are a non profit organization providing female athletes, ages 5 to 21, living in Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam, Port Moody, Anmore and Belcarra an opportunity to play ice hockey.

As a reminder for games....the @PCAHAMain Memo for Travel in Adverse Weather Conditions....
"As a reminder for travel in adverse weather conditions, it must be a travel advisory (not weather advisory) from the Police/RCMP, the municipality or Environment Canada. The teams need to check DriveBC to confirm that they are affected by the “essential travel only” advisory on a route to/from the game.

Teams have to expect winter driving conditions during this time of the year. Most advisories are to expect winter driving conditions so we wouldn't postpone games. However, if it's a blizzard or whiteout conditions, we would postpone a game. Large accumulations in a short time, would also be a consideration in postponing.

It won’t be a PCAHA District decision unless there is a travel advisory from police/RCMP for the whole Lower Mainland. 𝑰𝒕 𝒘𝒊𝒍𝒍 𝒃𝒆 𝒂 𝒅𝒆𝒄𝒊𝒔𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝒃𝒚 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒓𝒆𝒔𝒑𝒆𝒄𝒕𝒊𝒗𝒆 𝒕𝒆𝒂𝒎𝒔 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒊𝒓 𝑳𝒆𝒂𝒈𝒖𝒆 𝑴𝒂𝒏𝒂𝒈𝒆𝒓, 𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒉 𝒊𝒏𝒑𝒖𝒕 𝒇𝒓𝒐𝒎 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑴𝒂𝒏𝒂𝒈𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑫𝒊𝒓𝒆𝒄𝒕𝒐𝒓 𝒂𝒔 𝒄𝒐𝒏𝒅𝒊𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒔 𝒄𝒂𝒏 𝒗𝒂𝒓𝒚 𝒂𝒄𝒓𝒐𝒔𝒔 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑳𝒐𝒘𝒆𝒓 𝑴𝒂𝒊𝒏𝒍𝒂𝒏𝒅. If the games are close or local, the conditions might be okay to play. Decisions need to be made in a timely manner so the home team can cancel on-ice officials."

All postponed games must be rescheduled within the league time frame.

Our U7s and U9s had a couple of days of hockey and fun this past week. Our teams played a bunch of intra squad games with a pizza party and potluck as part of the fun. 🥳 🏒
