Spirit of Coquitlam Grant
We would like to say a big thank you to the City of Coquitlam for supporting female hockey through the Spirit of Coquitlam Grant.
The Spirit of Coquitlam Grant supports not-for-profit, community-based organizations that are based in and serving Coquitlam residents. The intent of the grant is to build community spirit by providing funds for public art, sport activities and programs, festivals and events, sport hosting, capital projects, and new initiatives that align with the City’s strategic goals.
The program is funded from revenue received through the Province of BC’s Host Financial Assistance Agreement, benefiting local governments that host casinos or community gaming centres.
Since 2002, the City of Coquitlam has awarded grants to over 250 different organizations through the Spirit of Coquitlam Grant program.
TCFIHA is a proud recipient of a Spirit of Coquitlam Grant of $3,100 which we used to upgrade and add to our goalie equipment.
With the Spirit of Coquitlam grant, we can continue to grow our goalie talent pool, and see more and more young female athletes fall in love with the goaltending position and with the beautiful game of hockey. 🏒
