Position Title: TCFIHA Rep Head Coach
Position Type: Head Coach – Paid or Volunteer

Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Minor Hockey Coaches to lead and develop our U11, U13, U15 & U18 Rep teams for the upcoming season. The ideal candidates will have a passion for coaching, a strong understanding of hockey fundamentals, and a commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive environment for young athletes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Serve as the official spokesperson for the team, representing it at all meetings and functions
- Practice and Game Management: Plan, organize, and conduct effective on-ice and off-ice activities, including practices, games and tournaments
- Player Development: Focus on skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship, ensuring that all players have the opportunity to reach their full potential.
- Communication: Maintain regular communication with players, parents, and association officials regarding team activities, schedules, and expectations.
- Compliance: Adhere to all association policies, including those related to safety, conduct, and player development
Qualifications:
- Coaching Certification: Completion of the appropriate NCCP (National Coaching Certification Program) level for the age group being coached.https://www.bchockey.net/coaches/be-a-coach
- Experience: Previous coaching experience at the minor hockey level is preferred.
- Background Check: Successful completion of a Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening
- Soft Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills; ability to motivate and inspire young athletes.
- Commitment: Availability to commit to the full season, including practices, games, and team events.

- Submit Supporting Documents: Upload resume and two references to the coaching application form
- Provide References: Include at least two references who can speak to your coaching abilities and character.
- Meetings and Interviews: Shortlisted candidates may be required to attend an interview and participate in a coaching demonstration.

- Training and Development: TCFIHA is committed to the continuous development of our coaches. Opportunities for additional training and certification are available and may be reimbursed upon successful completion.
- Compensation: for non parent coaches or parents who wish to coach at a level that is different than their player
