2024-25 Scholarship Recipients
We are proud to recognize the achievements of several outstanding student-athletes in our association with this year’s scholarship awards. These scholarships celebrate players who have shown exceptional dedication to both hockey and academics, as well as leadership, community involvement, and sportsmanship.
Port Moody Old Timers Hockey Association Scholarship – Madelyn Carey
This scholarship is proudly donated by the members of the Port Moody Oldtimers Hockey Association (PMOHA), a community built on respect, camaraderie, and a shared love for the game. The qualities that define a strong PMOHA member are the same traits we seek to honor in the recipient of this award.
The recipient of this award reflects the core values of our membership: a great teammate, a leader among peers, community-minded, hardworking, and coachable. This scholarship celebrates players who embody the true spirit of hockey—on and off the ice—and aims to support the next generation of athletes who lead by example.
Congratulations Madelyn!
Thank you Port Moody Oldtimers for your generous scholarship donation. Your support makes a difference in the lives of our athletes, helping them pursue their goals both on and off the ice. We are truly grateful for your commitment to empowering the next generation.

Agnes Pau Female Empowerment Scholarship – Caitlin Manners
This scholarship is awarded in honor of Agnes Pau, a member of the founding group of TCFIHA and a pillar of the local hockey community. Agnes has dedicated countless hours to the organization over the years, serving as a coach, board member, and parent. Her passion for the sport remains as strong as ever—she continues to compete, most recently at the Canada 55+ Games, and now leads as the manager of the newly formed TriCity Express FSL team.
This award recognizes a player who embodies the same spirit as Agnes: someone who demonstrates perseverance, leadership, and a deep commitment to both personal growth and community involvement. It celebrates those who not only strive to excel in hockey but also give back and inspire others, both on and off the ice.
Congratulations Caitlin!
Summer Spaidal Memorial Scholarship – Danyca Henry
This scholarship is presented in memory of Summer Spadial, a dedicated athlete who exemplified perseverance, creativity, and heart. Summer played five seasons with our association and was known not only for her hard work on the ice but also for her artistic spirit and unwavering commitment to giving her best in everything she did.
This award recognizes a player who demonstrates similar resilience—someone who pushes through challenges and remains determined, even in tough times. It serves as a tribute to Summer’s strength and a reminder that, even when life is difficult, hope, support, and brighter days are always within reach.
Congratulations Danyca!
